My make-up tutorial with the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani collection
My sweeties, a short while ago, I had the chance to work with David Flesch, national make-up artist for Urban Decay, and try out the limited make-up collection by Gwen Stefani for Urban Decay. We created a beautiful make-up photo tutorial which you can discover on Jolie.de (and definitely should!). The amazing pictures for the tutorial were taken by my love Max Bechmann.
The look we did carries the cool name “Straight Outta Anaheim” and in fact is really similar to my own statement look including a bold red lip and expressive eye make-up. Only the eyeliner is a bit less prominent than it is in my own looks. Anyway, I was really happy about the fact that David really recognized my personal look and did the make-up just the way I had done myself.
But the thing that interested me the most were the products themselves. How to use them, how well they worked on my face and how they felt while being applied. Especially the blush- and eye-shadow palettes from the Gwen Stefani collection were really intriguing and I’m sure I’m gonna use them in many of my future looks, too. Also, applying an eye-shadow primer was new to me but it totally makes sense as it helps the eye-shadow to stay exactly where it’s supposed to for many hours. Well, it’s always nice to learn something new from a pro, isn’t it.
But do have a look yourselves, I have linked back to all the products from the Gwen Stefani collection if you scroll down a little. And you can see: you don’t have to be a platinum blonde girl like Gwen to actually created her edgy looks. Basically, you can create any look with these products very easily.
How do you like my look and the tutorial on Jolie.de? I’m really proud to having been part of this fun production! And I’ve also added some photos from the tutorial below, but the full tutorial, as I said, on Jolie.de.
