How would you fit December into a cube?
My sweeties, today, I want to let you in on some exciting news, a story that should be interesting for you all as well because there will be some interaction waiting for you soon!
Not too long ago, I was invited by Street One to travel to Berlin for a super fun and exciting workshop in a beautiful loft. Together with some other German and Dutch bloggers, we had the chance to create our own “Shape of December” design ideas for an exclusive collaboration with Street One. So, each one of us made up their minds how our own cube inspired by winter and December should look like.
Yay, I had the chance to create very own design, how exciting! That’s the kind of creativity I love letting out, thank you Street One for supporting me in this!
So, how did I come up with my design idea? Well, on the background of a photograph showing a forest in winter, representing both the silence and the beauty of the cold season, I placed the silhouette of small triangles cut out from cardboard, forming the visual idea of a very minimal, graphical forest (or Christmas trees, if you like). I then painted over the cardboard silhouette with red paint and later, removed the cardboard so that only the little red triangles stood out from the soft and pale forest background. I was so happy with my design. It came out perfectly!
Can you imagine my “Shape of December” design on a poster or shirt? I definitely can and I hope you’re gonna love it just as much as I do. Have a look at the video to discover how we all created our own designs. I’ll keep you up to date on when you can start getting involved in the Street One campaign! It’s gonna be amazing and you’ll definitely love it!
Have a great day and let me know what you think of my design and the video from the event?
