On 70s soccer shorts and my disability to iron my clothes
Remember that day when Germany won the world cup in 1974? I mean, not literally, as most of us weren’t born back then – but from recaps? I did when I put on my new Vila Shorts because you know what?! The cut is basically the same as those soccer-players’ shorts back in the 70’s! Of course, they weren’t hemmed with pom-pons back then, even though I imagine that would’ve looked cute on Franz Beckenbauer and the likes, hehe. But they totally reminded me of that!
Nevermind my footie-ranting, though. I love these shorts. I love the colour and the soft fabric and the pom-pons and all! They are super versatile and are the ideal choice for those hot summer days we finally have been blessed with these days. If only I were less lazy! If I’d hot ironed my shorts before going outside, I guess they’d have looked even nicer. But you know, laziness always wins with me (unfortunately).
Actually, I’ve found the perfect early summer outfit over at Fashion ID* the other day: I’ve combined my navy blue shorts with a Vila Jacket with a cute ethnic print (I really love that kind of print at the moment), a super soft and minimal S. Oliver blouse and this lovely envelope clutch by Michael Kors… add some sneakers and you’re ready to go! And I looove the look! It’s a little bit maritime, still minimal but oh-so summer-ly and fresh!
Note: looks best with a flashy pink or orange lipstick like mine by Armani Beauty! Go ahead and try it!
