Cold tea for hot days – you should think about it!
My sweeties, woah! It’s so hot outside! Max and I are staying in Berlin right now and ever since we’re arrived on Thursday, hot hot summer has really started in Germany. But we are very happy sweating like this because hey, at least this is the summer that we’ve all been waiting for all these weeks! Now it’s here (and people are complaining again already haha), we can finally go swimming in the lake, wear light summer clothing, and sit in cafés checking out all the funny people walking by. So much fun!
And while we are sitting there, what do I order? Well, mostly it sounds like this: “Uhm, do you have iced tea? No, I don’t mean the sweet soft drink. I mean like real fruit tea with ice cubes inside? And perhaps with some fruit? Maybe?” But it’s super difficult, because most waiters don’t quite get what I’m talking about or actually don’t serve anything but the stuff on the menu. But you know, at least at home you can do it better than most cafés, so…
This is how you make your own low-calorie fruity iced-tea at home!
Let me tell you how easily it works: Pour hot water into a large carafe, add tea bags of your favourite fruit tea, wait for about 10 minutes, take out the tea bags, wait for the hot water to cool off and then add some ice cubes. Finally, you can add some fresh fruit of your taste and tadaa, enjoy!
Sounds great? Well, it does taste great, too. And so refreshing on hot summer days when you don’t wanna drink boring water anymore. This is definitely worth a try.
How do you refresh yourself on these hot days? Do you have some secret recipes for me? I’d love to hear about your ideas, really!
