And all about spontaneous decisions that turn out to be the best thing…
Round about two years ago, we had everything already planned out, flights already paid, hotel chosen and also the route where we wanted to go, what we wanted to see. Joshua Tree, Yosemite, Palm Springs, San Diego and perhaps even San Francisco… it was supposed to become our first big road trip in which we wanted to discover all the different sides of California…
But it didn’t happen and that was thanks to fate that got in the way. We simply couldn’t do the trip and it made us really sad. At least, we’d “only” lost the 800 EUR for the flights, but still, we were gutted. And after that, Los Angeles and California was gone from our travel bucket list for a while. Too expensive, too far away, too much time that such a trip takes etc. etc…
But then, fate knocked on our door again just a few weeks ago and we got to visit Los Angeles after all. Not that Cali road trip, yet, but at least we got an idea of what livin’ in LA is like.
And thanks to whom did this trip happen? We will tell you all about that in a blog post next week. Until that, stay tuned and watch our Instagram and also this place here. One thing, we now know for sure: WE’LL BE BACK (as Arnie used to say), CALIFORNIA! And who knows, by then, I might already have a driver’s license as well and can help Max with all the driving?
We shot this look in Santa Monica by the beach with the most beautiful sunset light. People always say that Los Angeles has got the most marvelous light – well, in the mornings and evenings, that is definitely true, but around mid-day? Not so much, haha.
My sweet top and earrings are by Free People, by the way (in Germany, you can shop Free People at asos for example). I just love this brand and you will probably remember me wearing a Free People dress for our POP IMPRESSION festival styling right? I just love the vintage- and hippie-vibes that this brand carries out into the world. I’ve combined the top with a pair of wide legged trousers by ZARA and my beloved Adam Selman x Le Specs sunnies, that you all know too well!
How do you like my first outfit from Los Angeles? And have you ever been there? Do let me know in the comments!
