Colour explosion? No! This is my beach time-out in black and white!
My sweeties, year and year again, the spring and summer catalogues offer us the most colourful options for our beach getaway. Flower- and leaf-prints, stripes, dots and all kinds of crazy patterns in the colours of the rainbow are never out of style. But for me, monochrome is key and even though I find that other girls look stunning in those pieces, I’d rather have something more minimalist – always. Black and white are my favourite options, even for swimwear.
And what is most important about my swimwear next to the monochrome colour scheme? Quality. Yes, the older I get, the more I like to know that I’m wearing something that will last and not lose colour or shape too quickly.
Okay, this bikini is a sample, but generally, I like to spend a little more money on good quality pieces these days, even for my bikinis and swimsuits. I just feel better in these pieces and know that I’ll definitely be taking them to my summer holiday – not only this year, but also in the years to come.
What’s your opinion on this topic? Would you rather buy cheaper and more often or a little more expensive but less pieces in general. I mean, in the end, we’ll spend the same amount of money, probably, right? Anyway, I’m really looking forward to your comments and also, let me know what you think of this editorial shoot and my lovely Seafolly bikini that I got via Breuninger*.
