Radisson Blu Carré Eden Hotel, Marrakesh

Our visit in a small paradise in the middle of the urban jungle.

Squeaking tires, hundreds of people passing by, horse carriages and motor bikes beside us and the Muezin ever singing from his Mosque…

And then we enter a small paradise: we are warmly welcomed and our suitcases are being taken upstairs while we are waiting for the elevator to take us to the lobby. While waiting, I fall in love with a florist’s shop right next to the elevator. Pure bliss!

At the lobby, we are welcomed even friendlier and even warmer (if it is at all possible, everyone is so sweet!), we are offered a tea while they are getting our room ready for us. We decide to sit in the sunny courtyard of the hotel. The sun shining low and the heated pool steaming beautifully. We relax in lovely wooden chairs and enjoy the warmth of the sun.

Our room isn’t less impressive than everything we already experienced in these few minutes since our arrival at Radisson Blu Carré Eden hotel*, in the middle of Gueliz and right next to Hivernage, located super central in Marrakesh. The room is bright, modern, beautiful and minimal. The living area is neatly separated from entrance and bathroom with a wooden separator in Moroccan design. We always love staying at Radisson Blu hotels, as they offer a great mix of design, modernism, individuality and great service throughout.

So we decide to relax a little more in our beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the lovely courtyard of the hotel (and it’s SO calm and quiet here), before we decide to take on the city. Outside the hotel, it is crazy crowded! Everything smells of roasted nuts, tea and spices, but unfortunately, also of exhaust from all the cars and motorbikes. Everything is loud and crazy and wild here in the middle of Marrakesh which can become stressful if you tend to become stressed out quickly.

But we are in love with the city. I am falling in love with every stray cat passing our way, with the light green leaves and the sun that creates beautiful shadows on walls and the ground. We enjoy entering parks filled with cacti and palm trees and the sound of all the birds of spring. And we begin to dream a little of spring and all the lovely things that come with the warmer season.

Everything is so close to Radisson Blu Carré Eden: the mosque, the square and the Medina, but also Jardin Majorelle and the Musée Yves Saint Laurent are only a mere 15 minute walk by foot away from our hotel. We couldn’t have found a more perfect hotel in the middle of the city!

How do you like our impressions from Radisson Blu Marrakesh? You can trust us, this hotel is ideal if you like it modern, clean and perfectly located in the middle of the urban jungle of Marrakesh!
