Khaki, olive or army-green? Anyway, let’s talk about my new favourite colour!
Hey guys, I hope you survived the Christmas holidays quite well and finally did use the time to 1. eat loads of food, 2. relax and 3. spend some quality time with your family and beloved ones.
Did you manage to do all that? I, for my part, feel super happy and relaxed and yet, I’m very much looking forward to presenting you one final men’s fashion outfit of the year 2017. Yehaw!
Today, I would like to chat about my new favourite shade of green and it’s called “khaki”, as you might have figured from the title of this post. Sometimes, this colour is also called olive or army-green, but no matter how you call it, it’s definitely a trending colour. Yet, for me the colour is not interesting because it’s a new trend, but because it suits me surprisingly well! So of course, I had to own this perfectly cool coat by MANGO man, which kind of fell into my arms before our trip to Cape Town and I simply needed to make it my own. In this winter look, I’ve combined it with a simple black turtleneck knit, a pair of grey jeans and my lace-up boots by H by Hudson via Breuninger*.
Before I started wearing khaki, I always believed blue and brown were “my” colours. Blue because of my eyes and brown because of my tanned skin in summer and blonde-ish hair. But since I’ve discovered khaki, I’m frequently told how good that colour looks on me and that feels quite nice, honestly. Additionally, my beard shows a certain kind of shade of that khaki tone as well when I’m wearing clothes in the shade, which is pretty cool, isn’t it?
Oh, and these days, I’m never going outside without my dearest Olympus Pen-F camera*! She’s so small, so beautiful and handy and yet, she takes the nicest pictures!
So, how do you like my outfit today and what do you say about olive/khaki in clothes? D’you like it? Do let me know in the comments, I’m really looking forward to it!
