Style from a different era – but with a modern touch.

My sweeties, do you still have role models? Or just women that really inspire you with their look and their breathtaking style? For my part, as you all know, all you have to do is travel back in time a bit, because there you’ll find ladies like Françoise Hardy or Jane Birkin, which totally match with my idea of elegance and style. The DNA of the 60s Parisienne is just party of myself and very often, I can’t even help incorporating style-elements from that era into my outfits. It just comes naturally, hehe.

It was also never the case that I changed my style in favour of someone else’s. These Parisian women simply made me realize that what I did and wore was absolutely okay, chic and right and nowadays, so many magazines are trying to find out the secret of the Parisian woman, but in fact, it’s all about loving yourself and not taking life so seriously. And the rest, well, just comes naturally. Of course, it helps if you have bangs, haha…

Anyway, I’m always happily surprised that when I suddenly discover that, by chance, I incorporated items into my look that totally remind me of Jane Birkin for example. Like the basket. And then, I just smile and keep going, because that’s who I am. Because I love it. And how about you??

Outfit:

Again knit pullover | H&M denim skirt | IKEA basket | Hilfiger espadrilles | Céline sunglasses
