Hop or top? How I think about NYC now – on fast track.
My sweeties, yes, all your nightmares are coming true! In the next couple of weeks, I’ll probably only talk about New York City, our time there and what we did, saw and learned. But that’s only natural, this city has so much to offer and so many things to talk about!
But today, my first outfit from New York – or rather, Soho – in which I’m styling a beautiful summer top and a lovely wide pair of pants, both by EDITED The Label. Along with that, I’m wearing one of the 100 new VICE lipsticks by URBAN DECAY – my colour is called Lovelight with a Sheer Shimmer texture. Isn’t it just lovely?!
And with today’s outfit, I’m giving you a fast track idea of how I feel about New York now, after I’ve returned home. 5 times nayyy, 5 times yayyy. Do you know New York City? And can you relate to my points?
New York is…
1)… like Hamburg or London! (We had 5 days of rain, wind, fog and cold… brrr!)
2)… noisy like hell! (Who came up with the sound of those sirens? Tinitus, anyone? And then all this traffic… oh man!)
3)… hectic to no end! (Time is money, I know, but who gave those New Yorkers crazy rush pills?)
4)… terribly unfriendly! (No matter if it was the waiters, the taxi drivers or other service personnel, they were so grim!)
5)… confusing! (No alcohol outside, no smoking indoors: how is anyone able to party??)
BUT New York is also…
6)… so picturesque! (Especially, when the sun is finally shining in the streets of Soho or rising behind Manhattan-Bridge.)
7)… helpful! (When you’ve gotten lost in the concrete jungle and some passenger simply asks if he can help.)
8)… incredibly high and tall! (Especially, when the fog disappears after 5 days and gives away the most marvellous sights of the skyline!)
9)… tasty! (Soo many great places to eat – IF you’ve got enough money on your side, because EVERYTHING is so expensive in Manhattan!)
10)… creative! (Great music and street art round every corner. I could even watch street artist Jeremyville while creating a new piece!)
You see, both the negative and the positive points are there, but I’m sure that if the weather had been nice from the beginning, I’d have loved it much more over there! Well, next time, then. Will you tell me about your New York experiences now??
