Our Scotland with the Barbour Tartan Collection

Just a few weeks ago, we’ve already talked about our trip to Scotland here on the blog. It was a marvellous and exciting road trip through a thoroughly breathtaking countryside. Just remembering those magical sceneries and beautiful nature makes us want to go back there straight away. The warm welcome of the Scots, the long walks by the beach south of Aberdeen, the driving through field and over mountain, all of that are things we will hold dear to our hearts forever. Luckily, we do get to talk a bit more about our trip to Scotland in today’s post and we hope you are as excited about this article as we are.

The perfect country style

Quite suitably, we will be taking a fashionable detour through the Scottish Highlands with you, today. While doing so, we will be showing you the ideal casual-wear for a road trip through Scotland with the support of the British lifestyle label and family business Barbour* from South Shields, which has perfected the British country style in the past 125 years since its founding. Barbour is of course not only known for its very popular wax jackets, it also offers various other lovely items such as pullovers, quilted jackets, nice shirts and lots more. And that is exactly what we would like to show you, today.

And thus, we went on our trip, well-dressed in the spring/summer 2019 Barbour Tartan collection*. Over field and mountain we went, discovered seals by the wild ocean, strode through valleys and moss-covered forests. Scotland, truly, is a magical country. It feels a bit as if you enter another, older world, where fairies and magicians still exist. And that is no wonder, indeed, because when the fog is laying low between the mountains, when you are jumping over wild waters and stand in front of massive waterfalls, you really do get the feeling that magic is at work, here in Scotland.

Of course, our jackets by Barbour kept us dry and warm throughout our trip and our Tartan shirts and pullovers with the significant Scottish colors reassured us that we had chosen the right country for our trip!

By the way: not only the British Royals have trusted Barbour for generations when it comes to hunting and outdoor-wear (remember the movie “The Queen”?), but numerous British celebrities also like to wear Barbour on famous music festivals like Glastonbury. And while we stayed in Inverness and Edinburgh, we also met lots of pedestrians sporting the famous Barbour wax jackets. It’s a common thing here, everybody knows and likes to wear Barbour.

Do you know the brand? And how do you like our outfits and pictures from Scotland? We are really looking forward to your comments!
