Being a woman hasn’t always been easy. In the past centuries, women in our country often weren’t allowed to decide whom to marry, when to start their own family, where to work and which party to vote for. Women didn’t earn their own money and were completely dependent on their men. Independence? No way! And unfortunately, this scenario is still quite true for many other countries and we’re only lucky that we seem to have overcome it in our part of the world.
But of course, in our country, too, women literally had to fight for their own rights first, in order to finally live a free and self-determined life like the men did. And we have to be very thankful for all the fearless women that fought for their rights in the past, never giving up until they reached their own goals of freedom for all women. No matter what.
To us women!
And thus, together with Freixenet*, I’m calling to all women to raise a glass and celebrate that we are strong and independent women that are lucky enough to live the life we want to life, free and independent. But of course, we can still learn a lot from the fiery and strong Spanish women when all our many tasks (job, family, relationship, friends, hobbies) feel too much to handle again. Just take life a little lighter from time to time!
Freixenet* celebrates all of us with our faults and strengths and hey, even if things don’t work the way we want them to, in the end, everything will be fine – it always is! After all, all of us women are in one way or the other true multi-talents and troubleshooters. So, my dear ladies, let’s celebrate that we have the chance to be women in this life!
Today, I’m a girl-boss and proud of it
I, personally, am not only today celebrating that I’m lucky enough to life in a country where I’m able to do exactly what I want to do. As a free and independent woman, a girl-boss of my own business.
After all, I’ve built my business without any help from the outside. The blog, which I’d started 10 years ago while I was studying, became a bigger part of my life year after year and after I’d worked as a teacher in Berlin for about 3 years after my studies, I knew that the blog should become my own business and I my own boss. From now on, I was completely self-dependent and I loved it.
Even stronger together
Of course, running a business is something you can’t do all by yourself in the long run. And even the strongest women has to accept help from time to time. And thus, about 1 1/2 years ago, I’ve chose to work closely with my love Max together on this blog which works perfectly. We are the best team and our results are even better since we’ve decided to run the business together.
After all, part of being strong is also to accept help, isn’t it?
And that’s why Max and I raise a glass of sparkling Cava by Freixenet and want you all to take part. Let’s celebrate ourselves, our strengths and weaknesses and our love for ourselves and the rest of the world. Let’s carry this feeling out into the world so that all women of this planet my rejoice in freedom and happiness one day. It would be my greatest wish come true.
