How we want to turn a little in-between room into cuddly land.
My sweeties, I’m currently sooo excited, because within the next two weeks, our new bed by Home24* is supposed to arrive! For some, this might not be something super special, but for is, it is. We’ve been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for 1 and a half years now!
This simply had to change, that’s for sure. So, after we stopped believing that we’d ever build a bed made out of pallets by ourselves, we are super happy now that we will get a Scandi-inspired bed thanks to Home24 now.
So now that we are leveling up to the bed-owners, I thought to also give that bedroom a little (big) upgrade. In my favourite colour-scheme (black and white, grey and green, as well as brown and white), I will try to build a cozy cuddly world for Max and myself and I hope he’ll love it just as much as I will. And I’m sure I will…
Muted, natural colours characterize the colour scheme of our bedroom:
Those accents in green are a must in our loft, as our window frames are painted in a light green colour as well and they would totally look and feel out of place if it weren’t for some green accents in the loft.
Apart from that, I’ll stick to my favourite mix of Scandi furniture elements and Moroccan cocooning-accessories, like this handmade rug* or these beautiful baskets*. In these kind of baskets, I’d already placed the plants in the big room in our loft and I just love it.
All in all, this bedroom is supposed to become a cocooning area for Max and myself once autumn and winter come. A place to feel warm and comfortable and cuddly. Until then, it will be a bright and beautiful place that will hopefully seem much larger than it actually is.
Are you excited to see how our bedroom turned out? Do let me know, I might do a post about it soon! And how did you decorate your bedroom? I’m really looking forward to your comments!
*The pieces will be gifted to us by Home24.
