Your gut feeling knows best…
My sweeties, how often do you listen to your instincts more than your brain? I’m such a person and it really helped me out of many tricky situations – listening to what your gut feeling tells you.
The French beauty brand NUXE* started a campaign with this topic including a great image film* and of course, I was excited to be part of it. The campaign called #instinctivebeauty makes us trust our gut feeling a little more and lets us re-discover our natural beauty once more.
Natural beauty really sounds so easy at first, but it isn’t, right? Knowing what is really good for us takes a long time and a lot of testing and trying. But now that I’m 30, I believe I have discovered my natural beauty and I believe I can quickly make out what feels good for myself and what doesn’t.
My first contact with NUXE was the lip balm Rêve de Miel, of which even my sister is a huge fan now. Qickly afterwards, I discovered the lovely body and hair oil Huile Prodigieuse* in a French pharmacy and these days, it’s a must-use after showering. It’s a truly marvellous, natural oil which makes me live my own little Spa-moments on an everyday-basis.
On holidays, I’m taking along the shimmering version of this oil, called Huile Prodigieuse Or* as it reflects the evening sun so beautifully… in this way, I can feel my own beauty a little more.
For my daily skincare routine, I know by now that I need simple products that care for my stressed-out, dry skin. For this, the new version of the Crème Fraîche series by NUXE* is ideal, I’m using the serum, the fluid and the creme every day and my skin is so thankful for that.
Instinctively, I know that after this skincare-routine, I don’t need much more on my skin, so especially now, in late summer/early autumn, I’m only wearing a little bit of bronzer, some red lipstick and mascara on my face, nothing else. Like the French girls, really.
How do you follow your instincts when it comes to your personal beauty routine? To you listen to your inner gut feeling? Do you have special rituals? I’d love to hear about them in the comment section!
