It’s that time of the year again: December aka Christmas market month aka the only time of year when it is generally accepted to get drunk on mulled wine from 11 am on (open end of course). If you are fine with paying an extra Euro or two (or three or four) compared to buying the same kind of drink and food from a store, Christmas markets are loads of fun to visit with your friends and loved ones. I’ve been a fan of those pretty little get-together places to get me into that Christmas mood ever since I’ve learned how to ask: “Buy me some sugared almonds, mom?”
Of course, Christmas markets can be so different depending on which one you intend to visit. Some are pure kitsch, others are beautiful and traditional, some are totally overrun by tourists, others simply desolated. So, you better choose the right one beforehand (Google knows best), agree on a time and date and meet up with your friends to enjoy sweets, bakeries and punch together under a roof of shiny stars and glitter.
And so, for my own personal inspiration and perhaps, for yours, too, I’ve come up with another collage/wishlist thingie, today. I’ve thought about how I would want to dress up for a date afternoon on a Christmas market or a fun girls Christmas market tour at night with loads of laughter and mulled wine – keeping warm is the most important aspect of course, but looking well-dressed is almost equally as important.
Of course, most of the pieces I can only dream of owning, but then again, what’s left if we aren’t allowed to dream a little here and there, right? Although… I can already tell you a tiny little secret – I’ve ordered a very special item very similar to one of the above from Farfetch. Can you guess which one?
