It’s pure luxury… if you can work from wherever you want.
My sweeties, having the chance to work from home and be self-employed can be both curse and blessing. I don’t even wanna start with tax declarations or irregular payments. I also gotta motivate myself anew every day, write to-do lists and if I take a day off during the week, I will have to work on a Saturday or Sunday. It’s my own choice but work’s gotta be done. It’s got a lot to do with disciplining oneself, but I, for my part, must say that I can handle that quite well.
Because doing home-office – for me – has so much more positive than negative sides. I mean, I can basically work from wherever I want: table, couch, floor, bed, airport, hotel or that cute little café round the corner. I can work in the sunshine if it’s out and I can listen to the music I love the most (all Oasis-albums over and over again, yeeeahhh!). Moreover, I’m my own boss and don’t have to deal with stupid or hateful colleagues. That’s quite nice!
So, today, I want to show you my favourite working space – at home, in my own four walls – and that is our wonderful massive wooden eating table that we got via Home24 a couple of months ago and about which I’ve already told you before in this lovely interior post a couple of weeks back.
I just love sitting there and if we don’t prepare food or have guests, the table is usually empty, so I have enough space to spread out all my (white Olympus PEN– and Apple-) stuff on the table. And I just sit best on my DSW-chair and feel the best amidst my little plant jungle. It’s a cozy feeling.
Work is simply the best if it doesn’t feel like work at all. And that isn’t so hard with a working space like this, right? What does your work space look like? And do you have a favourite spot at home? Let me know!
