From an easy day-look to a cool night-outfit with just minimal changes
My sweeties, those Christmas (or rather pre-Christmas) parties seem to take no end. I even have the feeling that they multiply year after year. But I love it and while the temperatures are way above normal for this season, at least the celebrations put me in some sort of Christmas-mood.
And how do I dress up for those office, agency or customer-parties? Definitely not in the LBD (little black dress). After all, I was out and about all day before and I certainly don’t have time to come back home and get all dressed-up before the party.
Instead, I take along a bigger bag from the beginning and put in all my little helpers to turn my day-outfit into a going-out night look within minutes. And that is really simple. Here are my ideas for turning your day look into a night look…
4 ideas for easily changing your day-look into a going-out-look:
1. I pack my super fancy heels. They have to be really high. They have to be red (yes, because Lady Santa also always wears red) and they should be made of velvet. Those high heels don’t even take much space in my bigger bag and turn my daily outfit into something fancy within seconds!
2. I take along a small, elegant handbag that goes with everything. My go-to bag that makes my whole outfit look more luxurious immediately. And the fact that my YSL monogram bag also comes with a chain is very handy because, you know, you need to free hands for champagne and cake.
3. I also pack two pencils: my eyeliner and my lipliner. The eyeliner makes my look so much more sophisticated and the lipliner adds a touch of colour to my everyday-lipstick. Very easy but very impressive.
4. Also, don’t forget your hair brush. After a whole day of running around in whatever weather, your hair needs a little makeover. But a good brush really is all it takes to make it look fresh and chic again.
How did you like my little ideas? Do they help you? I hope after this, your pre-Christmas party hopping will be a lot easier. Also in the next years. Have a lovely day, sweeties!
