a bit hippie, a bit 90s, and a little bit of India…

Summertime is festival time and of course, you’re all aware of that! And since we adore any kind of guitar live music, sitting on the green grass, enjoying the warm summer sun and ideally, having some BBQ on the side, I also had to start thinking about my festival outfits and also festival make-up look for this year sometime sooner or later (but better sooner than later!). After all, our next open air gigs and festivals are around the corner and it’s about time we got ready for that!

Thus, I went to my favourite shop yesterday with the intention of finding some really good make-up items for my festival look. Something fancy, glam but also cool. After all, the only brand that really had some nice items was Manhattan (“Ad”, but I bought it myself, no cooperation, but a personal tip from me to you). Here, I found three really nice products that I simply needed to buy! These three products are:

1. Manhattan Holographic Effect Ombre Eye Liner in “Galactic Green”

2. Manhattan Lip Art Lip Top Coat in “Holographic”

3. Manhattan Ink Me Sticker self-sticking tattoos.

I’ve added the dark green side of the eye liner to the top and bottom eye lid, the holographic side, I only added to the lower lid for a dramatic eye-opening look. And some 90s vibes, too!

The holographic lip top coat, I added to my lips but also to my upper eye lid. I thought this would look cool and it really did, but it didn’t last long enough for a full festival day, so I’ll definitely need to take that top coat in my bag to the festival grounds.

My third and probably most important part of the festival make-up look are the self-sticking tattoos in gold and black. We all know them of course and they are a constant festival compantion since 2014, but are you all aware of how cool you can use them for your make-up? Just remember (very important), to stick them ON TOP of your foundation and powder, so it will be easier for you to remove them after a day or two. Otherwise, they’ll stay in your fave for many more days and you won’t be able to get them off!

How do you like my festival make-up look? Too much for you or just right because on a festival, it’s like on a playground – do whatever you please?! Do let me know your preferences!
