An island of calm

These are strange times… we’ve never been home for so many weeks in a row since basically forever. No appointments, no trips, no travels… only home office day after day. This lead to us feeling a bit nervous and the inner need to change some things in our own four walls – the place where we spend most of our time right now.

For this reason, we will talk more about interior loft design again in the upcoming weeks and a bit less about traveling – for obvious reasons. After all, you’re always adapting to the current situation and so are we. And we are looking forward to it, too!

Our new rug in the living area

Today, we are starting off with a beautiful newbie in our living area: a new rug is decorating the place!

This beautiful and unique item is named „Nordic Flower“ and is made by luxury rug maker kymo*. Their floorwear is unique, luxurious and simply perfect for our loft. Our new rug is made of a wool-viscose-mix and is woven to look like elegant flowers. A sea of flowers which feels light, mild and clear and minimal Scandinavian.

Like an island of calm, our new rug is framing our comfortable living area, gives it a clear edge and yet, feels warm and welcoming. This is exactly how we had imagined it and our expectations have literally been exceeded.

Even our small dog Rudi got used to the new rug very quickly and is now spending hours on the soft, yet firm rug which keeps our feet nice and warm as well.

How do you like our new rug? If you are on the hunt for new floorwear as well: I am giving away 3 x 500 EUR gift certificates to use for a new floorwear piece by kymo!
