At Bodensee with Paul Mitchell

Just a few days ago, we went on an 8-hour train ride to the south of Germany, precisely the Bodensee, where I’d never been before. Upon arriving, the marvelous blue of the lake immediately enchanted us and even though we felt tired from the long train ride, we decided to drive around a little and discover the area straight away…

Why we travelled to the Bodensee? Because Hair-styling brand Paul Mitchell*, of which I’d been writing about before (check out the other posts here and here), had invided us to watch the premiere of Verdi’s opera “Rigoletto” together on the lake stage in Bregenz. This was such a unique opportunity that we definitely didn’t wanna miss.

Grand opening of the “Bregenzer Festspiele” 2019

The next day, after a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, the event started straight away at the “Festspielhaus”, where the “Bregenzer Festspiele” were being started in a festive opening ceremony.

In this ceremony, they showed excerpts of the operas that are going to be shown during this season of the “Bregenzer Festspiele” and there were some speeches of important people like the president of Austria.

After this exciting opening ceremony, we went straight to the styling-event at the salon…

Styling-Event at the Paul Mitchell salon “Haarscharf Hair.Style”

At the salon Haarscharf Hair.Style*, we were warmly welcomed and taken care of by the young team of owner Christoph Schobel. Afterwards, the team created some beautiful hair styles so that we would look perfect at the premiere of “Rigoletto” in the evening.

I asked for a glamorous and yet easy-going hair-style with beautiful, big waves. Chiara, who took care of me personally, created a wonderful hair-style that I loved very much. She used heat-protection from the NEURO-Style-series by Paul Mitchell*, which made my hair look extra shiny and in the end, she made the waves look more full and natural with the Paul Mitchell Invisible Wear Pump Me Up structure powder*.

Max, by the way, also got a nice make-over and was the happiest of us all in the end which really means a lot, doesn’t it?

Afterwards, we all went to the Bodensee for a little shooting-session with our new hair-styles…

Shooting of our new hair-styles at Bodensee

At the lake, in a beautiful scenery, Max took some really beautiful pictures of us all and our beautiful hair-styles. The location at the lake was perfect and the sun made our hair shine even brighter and more wonderful. How do you like the results of our shooting-session?

Premiere of “Rigoletto” at the lake stage in Bregenz

Finally, in the evening, it was time to watch the premiere of “Rigoletto” and we were so excited for it!

The stage was a huge, fully moveable head of a clown with two huge hands, one of which was moving in all directions and the other was holding a big balloon that was lifted up to almost 50 meters. The construction was incredible and really blew us away as we’d never seen such a thing in our lives before.

In the end, we were speechless and so thankful for this unique opportunity that we only got to see thanks to Paul Mitchell. These kind of trips are really unforgettable!

But we really recommend you go and watch this opera as well- the scenery at the lake is mindblowing and so beautiful.
