My sweeties, after all the birthday celebration, I have a new outfit for you today. A wintery look and a question for you: what kind of denim girl are you? Are you, like me, a skinny-jeans type? Boyfriend-jeans? (I love those, too), Mom-jeans? (damn, I love wearing those as well) or flares?
Okay, it seems I love all kinds of denim, haha. I couldn’t choose to save my life, but it’s a fact that I own around 10 pairs of skinny jeans, one pair of mom jeans (that I always wear, though), two pairs of ripped boyfriend jeans and now, also my first pair of true flared jeans! I know, I showed you a pair of flares in this outfit post before, but they aren’t made of denim. Then, I also showed you a pair of marlene-pants, but they are not actually flares, either.
So yes, it was about time and so this is in fact my first pair of real flares I’m wearing since the mid-1990s and I’m super surprised how well they suit me! Especially worn with heels, they make your legs look endlessly long and beautiful. But how do you wear flares compared to skinny jeans?
Well, I found out combining oversized knitwear like I always do with my skinny jeans doesn’t quite work with flares. It simply is not flattering for your body shape. Those flares really ask for a better-fitted top like this super thick, warm knit. With its long sleeves, you even mirror the almost overly long shape of the jeans and the whole look simply stretches your figure. It’s an easy trick but works soo well!
What do you think of flared jeans? Would you wear them and do you agree with how I styled them? Let me know, babes and enjoy your week!
