After a stressful wike like Berlin Fashion Week, my skin needed an extra amount of care and hydration – here’s how to give all the good things back to our skin!

My sweeties, last week was fantastic, no question! We met loads of new and old friends, laughed a lot, took home heaps of inspiration and impressions, but you know what? My skin really suffered from this week!

Different temperatures, dry air, sweating, burning sun, alcohol and one or the other unhealthy snack really made my skin look pale, grey and dry. The worst thing? I regularly forgot to drink my water, which I usually never forget. At the end of this week, I was so dehydrated, that I could drink 3 litres of water without having to go to the bathroom! Not a good sign!

How I got my skin back to normal after such a week? Well, I got to try the Dr. Jart+ rubber masks*, and especially one called Hydration Lover*! You’ve probably all heard of Dr. Jart+, the trendy brand from Korea, right? They’ve already become famous some time ago with the BB cream hype. Anyway, they simply build the perfect symbiosis between design and korean skincare know-how!

But what’s the deal with these rubber masks?

Okay, admittedly, these masks look a little… starling, at first. Max really got the shivers when he first saw me wearing it, hehe. But he always finds me scary when I’m using face masks! Perhaps, also a cool idea for Halloween?

No, but the reason why Dr. Jart+ is offering these rubber masks is simple: first, you apply the intensive serum and then, you place the rubber mask on top. Because it fits the face so neatly, all of the ingredients of the serum can be fully absorbed by our skin. Oh, by the way, these masks have really been inspired by clinical skincare, did you know?

The masks stay on the face pretty nicely, so in those 30 to 40 minutes that you should keep it on, you can basically do anything: read the paper, drink a nice cup of tea or just relax a little. Afterwards, my skin felt truly revived, fresh and soo hydrated. After a stressful week like Berlin Fashion Week, this was my ultimate beauty must-have!

And what about you? Have you already tried the Dr. Jart+ face masks? And if so, how did you like them? And if not, would you like to try? Let me know in the comment section, sweeties!
