“Dinner for two” and our new table.
My sweeties, today, I have a very special post for you all, because I’m not only showing you our new massive wooden table KimWOOD via Home24, I’ll also be giving you a couple of ideas on how to decorate your table for a springtime dinner and as a little extra, I’m giving you some Origami folding instructions on how to make your own pretty Lotus flowers out of paper for that dinner table of yours.
As you could already discover here and here, we moved into our Dusseldorf loft apartment in January and have slowly been starting to make it our home. 4 months ago, we literally had nothing to live on, but slowly, we’ve been adding more and more furniture to the flat so that by now, it already really feels like home. But you know, even the rest of our chairs are still missing, so we can’t invite big groups of people over for dinner, yet (even though our new table in its extended version would give up to 14 people a place to sit and eat at). But a dinner for two is just as lovely if not more, so it’s all good.
For this springtime dinner for two, I chose the colours white, pink and light green as those colours really remind me of spring. From some gift wrapping paper, I made table sets and those pretty Origami Lotus flowers I already talked about. I also used the rest of the paper to roll a little popcorn bag including some crunchy appetizers inside. My man liked the table setup just as much as I do, even though I feared it would be a bit too girly for him, hehe.
If by now, you really feel like you want to create your own springtime table setup, well, do get started… AND scroll down and have a look at my step by step folding instructions for the Origami Lotus flowers. I love Origami since I was a little girl, so discovering that it’s just as easy to fold something out of gift wrapping paper as it is out of Origami paper, opens up tons of new possibilities for me.
