On everything that inspires my right now and the importance if inspiration!

My sweeties, what inspires you? I’m inspired by music, art, film and the written word. I’m inspired by my travels and the people I get to meet on those journeys. I’m inspired by the fresh air on every morning and by the sunset on every beautiful evening.

The things that inspired me lately:

Last read: Ray Bradbury: The Mars Chronicles und F. Scott Fitzgerald: Tender is the Night

Last listened: Arcade Fire: Everything Now

Last watched: Moon – Science Fiction, 2009

Last visited: The exhibition: Produktion. Made in Germany 3, Spengel Museum Hannover

Last travelled: like so often, to Berlin. But next week, it’s starting again. First, we’ll go on a mini-roadtrip to the Dutch seaside, then to Bordeaux and finally, we’ll take a little break in Majorca to enjoy the early autumn sun.

The things that inspired today’s outfit:

This look was inspired by Japan. Waving, heavy fabrics like in fantastic monumental films or in Manga and Anime. A little besides reality, a little too much fabric, a little too much movement, but I love it. It feels like I can fly in this dress and that is exactly where I feel the happiest.

Even if France, Italy and the south in general inspires me the most, I’m still so happy with this little detour to Asia. By the way, I’m in love with the idea to wear a pretty simple black dress with an exciting bustier top knotted over it. It makes it so much more special and fashionable, don’t you think?

How do you like my outfit and the lovely silk dress in combination with the little white top with the loooong waving straps? I’m really looking forward to your opinions, your ideas and inspirations and your book tips! Do leave me a comment if you like!

I love everything in relation to Japan and Japanese… I seriously think that I was geisha in my previous life. :D

    Liebe Ricarda,

das Outfit finde ich total gelungen! Du hast den “japanischen Touch” super gut eingebaut, ohne dass es künstlich wirkt. Und außerdem steht es Dir verdammt gut :-)

    Ganz liebe Grüße,
