When you come to think of it, the connection between what we see and what we make of the picture created in our mind is very subjective and can vary so much. I really like that. The fact that taking a picture of a picture and introducing new items to the original photograph can create a whole new image was so much fun to me that I decided to create a full picture series of it.
For this series, I used the wonderfully inspiring pages of TUSH Magazine and coordinated them with my favourite beauty products from Yves Saint Laurent Beauté – my favourite beauty brand in the world – to create four different themes and stories and to blur the lines between what is real and what is only an image of our reality. If nothing else, it makes for very beautiful new photographs – playing with light, colour and reflection to great lengths.

Wenn man darüber nachdenkt, ist die Verbindung von dem, was unser Auge wahrnimmt und dem, was unser Gehirn im Endeffekt aus diesem Bild macht, etwas unglaublich subjektives und für jeden von uns komplett unterschiedlich. Das gefällt mir wirklich sehr gut. Ein Foto von einem Foto zu machen und mit Hilfe von neuen Gegenständen aus dem eigentlichen Foto etwas komplett neues zu kreieren hat mir so viel Spaß gemacht, dass gleich eine komplette Fotoserie daraus entstanden ist.
Für diese Serie habe ich die wunderbar inspirierenden Seiten des TUSH Magazins genommen und sie mit meinen lieblings-Beautyprodukten von Yves Saint Laurent Beauté – meiner liebsten Make-Up-Marke – koordiniert. Daraus sind dann vier verschiedene Themen entstanden, die ganz eigene und neue Geschichten erzählen. Und wer das nicht so sieht, der wird immerhin sehen, dass aus dem Spiel von Licht, Farbe und Spiegelungen wundervolle, neue Fotografien entstanden sind.
